The sHYpS project will be showcased at the Transport Research Arena (TRA), the foremost European transport event that covers all transport modes and all aspects of mobility, will take place next year in Dublin, Ireland, from 15-18 April 2024.
sHYpS will be presented at the PNO booth, where our colleagues Marco Molica Colella and Manuela Guiducci will be happy to discuss the project, as well as your transport challenges at booth n° 18.

On July 27th, 2023 an advertorial regarding sHYpS – Sustainable HYdrogen powered Shipping – project has been published on Il Sole 24 Ore, the most widespread political-economical-financial newspaper in Italy, in a special section regarding the hydrogen sector with a special focus on excellent realities.
Navalprogetti is the leading partner and coordinator of sHYpS, the European project that started in June 2022 and involves 13 leading representatives from different industries, R&D and technology areas from 7 European countries. The main goal of sHYpS project is to support the decarbonisation of the maritime industry and secure the energy system of the future, using sustainable hydrogen.
On June 28th, the sHYpS Consortium met in Trieste (Italy) for the project’s General Assembly, during which the partners presented and discussed the recent progress made towards a more sustainable maritime sector, as well as the next steps.
A new article generated in the frame of the sHYpS project has been released by CiaoTech – PNO Group!
The publication, available in the summer 2023 edition of European Energy Innovation, explores how sHYpS is contributing to the decarbonization of the shipping industry. It also highlights the crucial role of CiaoTech – PNO Group in supporting the project’s goals through comprehensive market studies, assistance in business replication potential, and leveraging their data-driven methodologies and IT tools.

sHYpS joined the HYDROGEN EXPO event, the first Italian exhibition & conference entirely dedicated to the technological sector for the development of the hydrogen supply chain.
The project hosted its booth to present its aim and early results to key actors and experts of the field. Our project partners Navalprogetti, Chart, CENERGY, PNO, LLoyd’s Registered and Ricardo provided more information on how sHYpS is supporting the decarbonisation of the shipping industry to many interest stakeholders and key players of the value chain.
sHYpS is paving the way towards decarbonizing the maritime industry.
Jeumont Electric has successfully defined the basic design of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and BESS converters, allowing stable power supply and absorption of dynamic transient power on demand.
